A rosy picture is often painted of how easy it is to implement a RPA bot. Companies are urged to automate processes that are repetitive, routine & involve structured data.

That said, Frost Bank recently completed its first RPA implementation to deal with a 64% increase in report requests over the last 2 years. Turnaround time was 3 - 5 days for priority requests & up to 5 weeks for low priority requests.

However, upon implementation of the RPA bot, Frost realized an immediate improvement time to complete requests – multiple requests were completed before close of business. In addition, the internal and external customers were happier, and the business was optimistic about the innovation and wanted more.
